Scott what I was trying to bring out is the planets made of rock are
just as old as the Sun. The Sun made of hydrogen and helium, and rocks made of heavier elements. Heavy elements come out of a supernova explosion. They came into the Sun's gas cloud as dust, and it was this dust that created rocks (meteors asteroids, and larger rocks) I'm talking about the accretion process that built the rock planets more than 4600 million years ago. Its dust sticking together Not all these space rocks are alike. Comets are dirty snow balls. Some rocks have lots of iron, and some little or none. Same goes for rock planet cores. Scott you have to much faith in how good a rover can analyze rock, and how are labs can analyze the rocks here on Earth. Reality is its at best a theory that Mars rocks are the ones found on Antarctica. TreBert |
