Default Planets question

Hi,

I am in the North East and for the last month or so there is a very
bright object visible every night that I am assuming is Saturn. I make
this assumption because as a child I had a telescope and I remember
seeing Saturn and it looked a lot like this object. At the moment I
don't have a scope or even binoculars. Are there any other planets
that would appear this bright or do you think this is Saturn?

Which planets are very visible in the sky with the unaided eye? I am
guessing that Saturn is so visible because of its expansive rings.

Thanks for any info on my questions. Still working on getting a
telescope here but not rushing into anything.

Steve
