I have not seen it on sale yet in any WHSmith store.

Since that new mag (ski at night (?) came out, I haven't
seen S&T in my local WHS. Is there a rule that says they
can only carry 2 astro mags? the other being Atronomy Now

Strangely, WHS has both the January and Feb copies of PCW
on the shelves, maybe the manager is a computer fan.

In the two WHS that I regularly use (Finchley Rd in London and Uxbridge
High St) the addition of the new magazine has not, so far, affected
their stock of S&T.

I'm in a bit of a quandry about subscribing. For whatever reason,
S&T is almost unique in american astro products as being cheaper in
the UK than it is in the US (5.99 USD cf 2.95 UKP).
However, for the 3 year subscription rate you end up paying 50%
more than the 'merkins for it. I'm assuming that's the overhead of
delivering single copies by post rather than bulk transporting a
whole consignment.

iirc my copy comes from Belgium where I had assumed they were printed in
Europe rather than being flown over. I find the subscription is worth
saving the hassle of remembering to get to WHS at the time they -randomly-
get some in, and before they run out!

What about using your local paper shop, mine will get
magazines to order and either deliver them when they come
in, they send them out with the papers, even if you don't
have a daily paper, or you can arrange to collect them from
the shop.

You get the mag each month without having to hunt round for
it and you pay the cheaper cover price.
