Had it not been picked up by a human hand it could have stayed in that
sand pit forever. The hand that help enlarged the human brain. Still the Florida meteorite gives evidence that it is the creator of walking intelligent mammals. Reason is if not for the Texas size asteroid wiping out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, mammal life would not have gained much of a foothold, and it is very unlikely that dinosaurs would have evolved intelligence.Reality is of all the millions of different animals only one is intelligent. Well Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and best to keep in mind the turkey is the modern day first cousins to a two leg dinosaur. Moby wants to add when humankind lived right on the shore after coming out of the sea they were lucky to have all those clams (easy to find and eat) Moby evolved from such lowly life . He is a mollusk, and proud to say the octopus is the smartest animal in the ocean. He gets extra Ipswish clams tomorrow, and we both wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving Moby+Bert |

Hi Double-A Moby its clams but does not feel he is eating his own kind.
It was the Indian that brought corn and Maine Lobsters to the Plymouth cookout we now call (thanksgiving) The Pilgrims offering was turkey, but the Indians were no fools and eat their boiled lobsters, and corn. They did ask for that delicious Pilgrim melted butter to go with their corn and lobster. Reality is the Pilgrims lost their appetite watching those crazy Indians eating that ugly red shelled big clawed creature Well call me Tonto for I just picked up 5 live Maine Lobsters for my Thanksgiving dinner.and frozen heads of corn (Green giant) Strange but I like frozen corn over fresh(its sweeter) My problem is how am I going to sleep tonite having 5 lobsters on my mind. Bert. |

Bert. Heh heh Bert,, Problem is how you're going to sleep tomorrow night with 5 Maine Lobsters in your tummy :-) But yes, I would also trade the turkey I am going to consume tomorrow for at least one of those shelled bugs, even though they are related to the Mighty Cockroach. Happy holidaze, all. Greysky |

From Gresky:
I am going to consume tomorrow.. at least one of those shelled bugs, even though they are related to the Mighty Cockroach. Hey Greysky, it's a small world. For many years i've said half tongue-in-cheek that lobsters are giant cockroaches. Unconstrained by weight, the bugs can evolve to amazing size. Happy holidaze, all. Greysky oc |

When she saw the head bob up, she at first thought it was a baby's, and wondered if she was a cannibal. Still, eating primates is close! Hi greysky, and Double-A Biggest lobster my diving club came up with
weight 18lb Biggest that I ever saw weighed 25lb Lobsters use their tails and move very fast going backward.(make about a 15 foot jump.) That is when you find them on a sandy bottom.(best place to pick them up) They love chicken bones, and that makes a good bait in trapes The warmer ocean water is driving them out into deeper waters. Could make them lay there eggs to early? Most lobster traps are just a few miles off shore, and that makes it nice for the fishermen in winter. Female lobster has about 1,000 eggs under its bellies. Crawls about 400 miles(going south) to lay them in the rocks in Cape Cod. Bert |
