NASA ANNOUNCES SPACE STATION SUPPLY CRAFT LAUNCH & DOCKING

The next Russian Progress (14) supply spacecraft for the
International Space Station (ISS) will launch Tuesday, May
25, and dock Thursday, May 27.

To make room for the new spacecraft, the Progress that
arrived at the ISS in January will be undocked on Monday.
There will be no NASA TV coverage of the undocking.

The Progress spacecraft, carrying 3,000 pounds of food, fuel
and supplies for the Expedition 9 ISS crew, is scheduled to
launch Tuesday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at
8:34 a.m. EDT. There will be no television coverage of the
launch, but a status report will be issued when the
spacecraft reaches orbit.

NASA TV will broadcast the docking live starting Thursday at
9 a.m. EDT. The actual docking is scheduled at approximately
9:55 a.m. EDT. NASA TV is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C,
C-Band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency
is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is
monaural at 6.80 MHz. The live NASA TV coverage of the
docking will also be webcast at:
