Default cool to be an astronomer?

What with the BBC's comedy drama 'Supernova' and the upcoming 'Rocket Man',
does the newsgroup think that it is becoming cool to be an astronomer?

"Becoming"? It's been cool ever since Thales fell down a well and was
"revived" by some pretty handmaidens.

Best,
Stephen

That is a new one to me. Could you please explain further or give me a
reference to follow up.

It's very cool to become an astronomer, especially in the winter.

My partner comes in from his observatory with cool fingers, cool nose,
cool toes, cool everything!

In fact cool is an understatement; he is FREEZING COLD!

We need multiple hot water bottles...

It's better that have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
