Default Good 1.25" low-profile focuser for imaging

My younger son does a fair amount of webcam imaging with his homemade 5"
f/11.4 reflector (GEM mounted), and he currently is using an old UO helical
focuser. We are looking for a better (e.g. non-rotating) focuser, and are
considering the JMI NGF-mini3 Crayford. Any comments, pro/con on this
focuser? Any other recommendations? Thanks.

Dennis

p.s. He doesn't want to switch to a SCT, so don't even mention it!

A word of warning (sort of). The JMI focusers have different sized bases.
The smallest JMI focuser actually has a larger base than a slightly more
expensive model. I ran into this during a discussion with one of the guys at
JMI. Since you are talking reflector, it is likely not a problem, but if
there is something else mounted to the tube close to the current focuser,
you might need to bare this in mind. Good Luck!

This might help, just as an add-on to what he's got (some rotate, others
don't e.g. #7315):

Thanks for the suggestion. We just got a #7315 focuser and #7316 adapter on
Astromart.
