Default Problem aligning pictures from Madrid eclipse

I have videotaped the whole annular eclipse but I didn't have any
tracking so the sun moves from one corner of the image to the other.

I have no problem with converting the video to a set of images (with
virtualdub) and I also know how to create a new video from a set of
images, but I don't know how to align these images!

I have tried with Astroart, MaximDL and Registax with no success. The
problem is that during the eclipse the Sun has different shapes and it
fools the algorithms which are intended for planetary images. Some
programs don't even have the option to save each image to the disk
instead of stacking them. If I had to do it manually with Photoshop, the
task would be titanic.

Any ideas? Thanks
