It's happening, because so many last minute waited to get out now the news is reporting roads are becoming blocked and gas stations are running out of gas. Per news for Gulf coast miles you can see folks trying to leave and get out of Rita's potential path but the bumper to bumper filled roads apparently can't take it. Some reportedly are so afraid of running out of gas and being trapped they are just staying at local service stations for security. The predicted inland surge will be however enormous so it's a must that fleeing folks don't hang around and just try and keep going as long as it's away from the Coast. I don't like it, Rita is showing signs of speed west direction slowing down as I cautioned and might stall for a little while to gain even more strength over the Gulf, worst case scenario. She's already a cat 5 if she plays, around even for a little while, outer winds and gusts could possibly reach forget about it 200+ mph. It's the eye, it's so perfectly formed very must like Katrina's but cloud cover so much larger. I don't like it, center pressure is still so low nothing like it since I can remember, and the way she fast jumped from a cat 1 to a 5, extremely dangerous for sure. This baby could just explode even larger before she possibly makes it between New Orleans and Galveston Gulf coast, she's that huge. ponder on, the nightbat |
