The Japs... "Japs" is a pejorative term that was used in WWII to express hatred for the Japanese people. It is not widely used today except by racists. Today these people are generally known as "the Japanese" or "the Japanese people." Please forgive my intrusion if you already knew this. Davoud -- usenet *at* davidillig dawt com |

The mission arrived at the asteroid Itokawa a while ago, and has returned some initial closeup photos. This is a sample return mission, and will eventually land grab some dust and rock, and return to earth, something NASA hasn't been able to do. |

Since we're nitpicking, "hasn't attempted to do" would be more accurate. -- Greg Crinklaw Astronomical Software Developer Cloudcroft, New Mexico, USA (33N, 106W, 2700m) SkyTools: http://www.skyhound.com/cs.html Observing: http://www.skyhound.com/sh/skyhound.html Comets: http://www.skyhound.com/sh/comets.html To reply have a physician remove your spleen |

Your choice of words makes it sound as if NASA had failed in this task. _________________________________________________ Chris L Peterson Cloudbait Observatory http://www.cloudbait.com |
