Default Missing Magazine?

I have had an article accepted by Cosmos Magazine, and paid a 2-year
subscription.
As yet - no sign of it!
Has anyone yet received a copy - any copy - of Cosmos Magazine?

Possibly (on this site, in the UK anyway)!.
Remember that it is an Australian magazine. You might get quicker answers
posting into one of the 'worldwide' sites, rather than the UK site.
Generally, the 'turnround' on a foreign magazine like this, can be long,
especially if they use a 'forwarding' company in the UK, rather than
shipping direct. The startup time, for a new subscription, can often be a
couple of months or more, and it may jst be this you are seeing.

Best Wishes

Hi Roger, LTNS

The Cosmos magazine believe he was referring to is a UK magazine see
http://www.cosmosmagazine.co.uk/

the one you mentioned was
http://www.isubscribe.com.au/title_i...m?prodID=14200

I am not sure which he has subscribed too but given the delay it may be the
UK version but at lease he now has both to go at.

Cheers

Andy

The UK one is 'interesting', since it says that it has 'evolved from a
magazine, into a set of specially created services'....
I originally did a search of the 'publications' database for newsagents,
and this only listed the Australian 'Cosmos', as a new arrival, and did
not list the UK one. This is fairly common, if it is not available through
newsagents, but might reflect a problem... :-(

Best Wishes

Thanks Roger & Andy,

Yes I subscribed (£30) to to the UK magazine, didn't realise there was an
Australian one!

Had my article ('An Amateur's Coelostat') accepted for publication, was
asked
for better photos, was told I'd receive proofs for checking - but then -
nothing!

What narks me is that I withdrew the article which had been submitted to
'Sky & Telescope' in order to encourage a UK publication: silly me!

Hi Andy Clews,

Yes it is indeed I - and thanks for your gracious compliment.

Goodness me - how home computers have transmogrified since
those heady days of Acorn's BBC, Commodore and Sinclair!
