Default Tire made Columbia fail

The tire blew the failing aluminum very far inside the failure zone of
its structural inegrity. The outer wing would have failed a few seconds
later without the tire blowing, but I don't think the Shuttle would have
become so quickly twisted into a sideways position that ripped it apart
if the tire hadn't blown well inside of where the wing heating and tear
caused by the cracked CCR and tiles falling off would have occurred and
was weakening the wing.

It's kind of a moot point, but some of you pricks are really dumb (IMHO).

Thanks,

Rick

I mostly lurk in this newsgroup but of most regulars who post here, you seem
to be the biggest whiner in the group. Why's that?

Uhh, you mean the RCC, Einstein?

CCR was a band, and they never flew on the shuttle.

ALTHOUGH, they DID do a song called "It Came Out Of The Sky"!

No argument there...

The tire didn't have nothing to do with it. They might as well have tried
to make reentry in a paper airplane with all the tiles missing off the

wing.

There were no tiles missing off the wing.

The leading edge was the problem.

"Teacher"? Obviously not English. God save those children.

Once more, with feeling:

It wasn't "missing tiles" that brought down the shuttle. Pay
attention, Teacher, or I'll pull down your pants in front of the class
and give you a whippin'. I was going to say "give you a licking", but
we'll save that for the office conference after school.

Welcome back, Carol. Thought for a minute you went away mad - or found
your meds.
