Depends if there is any damage to the shuttle itself, it's possible but
too early to be sure. The plan as I understood it was in case of shuttle
damage to have the crew go to the ISS. Then a second shuttle would go up
and get them but that would seem very unlikely now. The only alternative
is to go to the ISS and stay there while three crew use the Russian
capsule to come back, this would mean the Russian launching extra
capsules for safety reasons as there must be a capsule at the ISS for
emergency situations.

Just have to wait and see what happens over the next few days.

I think being able to repair tile damage in space was one of those
things that NASA was unable to come up with the ability to do, isn't
that right?

And then foam insulation problem is apparently still not fixed.

Looks NASA, like many government bureaucracies seem to do when facing a
major problem, fixed all the "wrong stuff"!

Because of all the falling debris events the Shuttle mission
program manager Bill Parsons says no shuttle will fly again, right. But
what about the poor astronauts they have stuck up on the orbiter which
can't come back until they figure out what to do. Oh the humanity, that
now endangered poor brave mother of two and we Science Officers
predicted such a mess. Come on, when they saw the parts falling off last
week on the launch pad they should have stopped the count down period.
Oh the humanity, and they flamed our poor Earth Team Officer Bert for
demanding Nasa be made accountable, oh the humanity. And Officer
nightbat for backing Officer Bert all the way as Captain, oh the
humanity. And if more and more Shuttle damage comes to light, what do
they expect mother of two to do, go out and space walk reglue the broken
tiles and form, come on! And what ship and crew do we send up there for
rescue when even now the program manager admits " Houston we have a
problem! "

Oh Darla if you are on the level please come, we need you. Forgive us if
we scared you off because of our sometimes silliness, this is very
important, seven crew life members, including two brave women's lives
are now hanging in the balance. One advanced Star Ship can do it, humble
nightbat is calling. Time is critical, like Sil net said it's now or
never, show us your protective Star Race magnificence, help us save
those brave astronauts.

At the moment yes, from what I have seen on Nasa Tv they have taken up
with them on the shuttle gear that will allow them to do test repairs
using various methods then they will bring those test materials back
with them and the engineers will test their effectiveness under re-entry
conditions to see how well(or not) the test repairs would have held up
under re-entry conditions.

And then foam insulation problem is apparently still not fixed.

Seems that way...

Things have been falling off for years ...
... only NOW they KNOW.

And it is at the tail-end of the shuttle program; NOT it's shake-out
period.

... only NOW they KNOW.

They KNOW that every time something falls off they will be compelled to
ground the program.

The shuttle is finished.

Calling all saucerheads!

The time is now for all of you to pray to the reptillian queen Darla to
save astronauts. Let their petition be granted by the great and mighty
Darla!

NASA TV is still being blacked out here where I'm at. That's probably
the way NASA likes it about now!

Have a good sleep.
