![]() I got this note from Phil and am happy to pass it along. (My only quibble is I don't call the Columbia disaster an 'accident', neither was 'challenger' -- but 'consequences'.) I am pleased to announce that my website http://www.sts107.info is now open and running. It's a preview for my book "Columbia - Final Voyage" which will be coming out this Spring from Springer Books through their Copernicus imprint. The website is just a teaser with all of the menus and text, but only a couple of full size images, audio files, and other content. The book's CD-ROM will have all of that information. The website will have the latest information on when the book's going to be available and ordering information when I get that information. "Columbia - Final Voyage' is a look at the STS-107 mission. Not at the accident but the mission and the people. Only a handful of reporters actually covered the STS-107 mission and many of my space program associates encouraged me to tell the story of the people and the mission - not the story of the accident. |

Jim, I'd trust your book over the "instant" book I got in 2003. Reading that
one was like eating sour cotton candy. |

This isn't my book, it's by Phil Chien,
whose publications I value highly. "Scott Hedrick" wrote in message . .. Jim, I'd trust your book over the "instant" book I got in 2003. Reading that one was like eating sour cotton candy. |

I went to this site and it looks pretty amazing.
Did this guy really have the access he claims he had? He says he actually interviewed all seven crewmembers before the mission and during the flight and the site has wav files with him talking to the astronauts and even joking around with them! It seems like - unlike the POS book which came out shortly after the accident, that this is a real book about the people and their mission. Anybody know of this guy or his credibility?
