Default Adjustable legs for the CI700 for under $25.00

Hi Fokes,

Here's a nice way of making you tripod on your CI-700 adjustable.

The parts were order from REID tool,

Reid tool 800.253.0421

knobs 3, P# SKA-5 $5.80ea steel or stainless SSKA-5 $11.20 ea.
Spring Stainless 1, P#SS-219 $3.31 (it's about 1 foot long)
Nylon 10-32 nutlocks, $1.80 home depot

Basicly a spring (3)total about 3/4" long is inserted inside the gap of
the leg clamp. A knob with a threaded stem replaces the hex screw and.
When this knob is losen the clamp can slide up and down the leg
allowing adjustment of hight. The 10/32 nylon nutlocks are used on the
clamp where the bar connects too. This needs to be lose to allow the
leg clamp open. The nylon lock pervents the nut from falling off. With
my tripod a 3 1/2" under the leg hight before the center support will
lose contact. However my tripod legs were trimed about 1' a standard
tripod should be more than 3 1/2" other simular parts can be used
however I perfered using stainless.
