Who are the folks who determine what is on NASA TV? Most of the prime time
shows are of the ISS control room. It is like watching grass grow. Civilization landed on Titan a few days ago and the only coverage was during the actual landing time, (which was not PRIME TIME for most of North America). It has not been repeated as far as I know. Instead of showing hours of an ISS control room why don't they run repeats of important events in PRIME TIME for North America? Why don't they do slide shows of the latest Mars Rover images that come back every day? There are hundreds of Pancam, Navcam, Microimager etc. etc. etc. Why don't they do the same for the Cassini pictures? Instead we get to watch the ISS control room most of the time. And when we do get some live Space Station imagery it is not really that interesting. Watching people floating around in a can is not much better than watching the ISS control room. The imagery of the earth from outside the Space Station is cool, but they like showing the inside of the Station much more often. A NASA TV Progamming Manager that actually understands what Space buff's are looking for in PRIME TIME would include the above "stuff". Maybe someday...... Bernie |
