I just had two very different customer service experiences.
1) Maxtor. Our external 250gb harddrive just failed after 18 months. This is the second Maxtor drive that we have had fail in the last year within months of the expiration of their 1 year warranty. Help from Maxtor - zilch. I will never buy another Maxtor product. 2) Rigel Systems. One of the two white LEDs has burnt out on a SkyLite flashlights. Contacted Rigel, and they will fix for free, and they didn't even ask how long we have had it. We currently own 3 SkyLites and 3 Quickfinders, and I will buy more of their stuff when I am in the market for something they sell. I can't think of a bad experience I have ever had with vendors/manufacturers of astro stuff. Let's make sure we support the folks who support us! Dennis |
