Comet Machholz now in the Hyades + Pleiades wideangle field with
motion obvious over an hour or so - pics from last night and tonight

Nice picture. It's clearly visible here in 10 x 50 binoculars despite
scattered thin clouds and Woking's light pollution, but I haven't yet
been successful with my Nikon 4500. The Canon 300D must have very low
noise.

It *has* got low noise but this warm weather still makes it easy to
find it! At reasonable ISO levels (up to 800) it's possible to get
away with murder ;-)

The tail is beautiful tonight. Here's a preview. I've got a load
more images to process. There was a stacking error in this set which
led to the kink in the star trails - I'll sort it out in due course.
