I've been wishing I could get a CCD for my 8" Celestron, but I'm wondering
....could you connect a digital SLR to it and get good pictures? -- Don |

You can buy all kinds of mounting stuff to make this happen. Read up on it, to avoid unsightly things such as vingetting. There's a news group, alt.binaries.pictures.astro, where most of the pics posted are taken with personal cameras. In most cases, with the right know-how and stacking of pics, you get amazing quality photos. If your Celestron can track and your camera can keep the shutter open for 30-60 seconds, you can get some amazing images. -Charlie |
