Default Slightly OT, query on Letter from space

I see on the News group that Ed Lu saw some strange short lived lights in an
aurora, and I wondered why nobody seems to have suggested that this was
reflections from debris or satellites, maybe hundreds or thousands of miles
away.

Not sure if there is a unexplained phenomenon group!
