Default Cave mirror info??

I posted on the Yahoo Cave group and now here in hopes someone might know how
to get some information on my 12.5" Cave mirror. It is from a Cave Astrola and
was made into a dob by Tectron. Mark Haff talks about this scope in a couple of
the early Amateur Astronomy magazines. On the side of the mirror it says " Cave
Optical Company Inc. M716 716 October 14, 1971". I can't find a signature
anywhere although I may be overlooking it. It's a great optic and I'd just like
to see if I can locate some history on it. Any help will be greatly
appreciated.

From the time frame that you mention, it could be a mirror by Alika Herring.
If so, you sure do have a winner!

Best regards,
Bill

I just heard from one of the previous owners and it turns out to have been done
by Ed Beck who used to work at Cave and has Enterprise Optics now...another of
the excellent opticians who did work there!! Thanks for the info Bill.
