Yep, given clear skies.

http://www.transit-of-venus.org.uk/ should have more details of local
events soon.

"The University of Central Lancashire is now the national coordinator
for the European Southern Observatory's vt-2004 project. This will be
mediated via www.transit-of-venus.org.uk/vt-2004/ and we will shortly be
adding an events logger for anyone to provide details of activities in
their area."

www.vt-2004.org has lots more information and resources.

Cheers,
~Al

p.s. For Irish readers, www.venustransit.ie is the Irish coordination
site. So Irish Clubs thinking of holding events please get in touch.

Do you have a solar filter? If yes, it'll be the same as any solar
image - only with a very, very large and completely predicatable
sunspot.

Please have a look at our website and join us if you can. The
SheffieldAS and the Hallam Star Centre are holding an event in the
city centre of Sheffield all day. We will have a marquee and plasma
screens which people can view the telescope feed on.
