Default My Apologies To Astronomers

I wish to sincerely offer my humblest apologies to the astronomical
profession (and all other scientific professions) for insisting that
following the scientic method represents on their part a bad attitude
( sycophantic). I have denigrated the profession by insinuating that
the peer reviewed process of data analysis is sycophantic and I wish to
completely and utterly withdraw those statements I made. I was immature
and unwilling to consider the historical timeline in relationship to new
discoveries, without which we wouldn't have the amazing breakthroughs
today, and most likely still be living in a scientific 'dark age'. I
also wish to thank astronomers for offering the world so much
inspiration and making widely available , to the public on the internet
and through print media, their findings and scientific conclusions for
all to see. I have allowed the immature rantings of some usenet kooks
to overshadow my love for astronomy and confused the profession with
statements made obviously by crazy people. I also wish to include my
sincerest apologies to both NASA and JPL. I thank those who were
patient with me and did not resort to insults for keeping the astronomy
subject level headed at all times, something which I miserbly failed to do.

Who said I was apologizing to you? I meant 'professionals', not the kooks.

You have yourself confused with 'professional' astronomers, and my post
wasn't meant for kooks like you. In fact it was more an apology for all
the kooks who bring shame on this newsgroup.

Did you fail to notice my reference to the obvious kooks in
alt.astronomy who frankly, should be seeking counseling for their usenet
obsessive complusive disorder.

Yeah, it had to be too good to be true; I suspected he was setting
everyone up with another of his little mind-games so he could project
onto others his essential "Kookiness".

The other day I totaled up the number of that characters posts.
Then reviewed most of them.
That is why he went into the kill-file.
HOWEVER, before he was placed in there, I printed out several of his
posts and his utterances on the varied topics and his attacks.
I then shared them with the students I tutor and you shoudl have heard
their laughter and the comments that the young women had to make about
Mad Scientist, given what he had spewed forth.
Later I shared them with the others on PM shift in the E.R. and it
sure helped enliven the hours!!
We had our Psych resident down here in the E.R. taking a break from
one our patients, and she read some of Mad Scientists postings and,
when not laughing, her read of that character was very interesting.
