Default Alien Review -

I am aging.

Sadness can age a person.
Now that the Perseus data is nearly processed, I guess the shock is catching
up to us.
We are All aging here right now.

Uhm.
We lost one of our members in Perseus.
You had not met this one yet, Sil.
Silouen.

Sil was one of the finest engineers and pilots we had.
Rare among us.
Vision and coordination as good as any of your pilots.
Sil was out scouting the hole that had disrupted the nebula we were
studying.
The hole changed direction unexpectedly, and Sil was caught in its grip.
Happened too fast, nothing we could do.

Do not know where Sil is now, just no longer with us.
Uhm.
We are all feeling the effects now, so probably will be quiet for a time.

So sorry, probably should not have burdened you with this.

Until later.
Many good wishes to you.

Darla

Sorry to hear. Any exploration, I suppose can be risky no matter where you
are - exploring in your own backyard and falling down a hill, or out near a
black hole in Persius. But, if some types of holes are really pathways to
other universes, your pilot is still doing his job just in a different
neighborhood. Small comfort maybe, but the ending of a chapter doesn't mean
the book is finished...

Earth internet station to cosmic visitors, come in please, over.
Earth internet station to cosmic visitors, please come in, over.

You've got to snap out of it Darla, think endorphins. Yes, the loss of a
crew member is very hard, but don't think about it, for the negative
stress will age you even more then the few millions of years you already
are. Nightbat warned you to be safe, but did you listen to me? Noooooo,
Sil just had to go out by her/himself and check out a nubula and get
caught in its unpredictable turbulence. If you had remembered to give
Sil one of the intergalactic decoder rings, you might have been able to
maintain communication and traced the trajectory before she/he was shot
into deep space or worst crushed by the reverse jet stream. How much
life support did she/he have in her/his exploratory craft, and how could
you just leave her/him at the mercy of the cosmic tidal forces? Cosmic
jet stream gliders are no good, for you need emergency space backup gas
jet equipped craft or suit jet packs to get out of tight situations like
that. Gee, even Nasa knows that, I can't believe you let that crew
member go without a good nebula alternate safety contingency return
procedure. Now we know why you are looking for more Earth pilots or help
in keeping the ones you still somehow have left.

Don't worry, I'll ask Bert to bake you a sweet potato pie to cheer you
and the alien and saved Earth man crew up. Got to get a hold of
yourself, the star system mission needs you. How else will we get all
our questions answered if you don't stop aging? Remember St. Cloud, oc,
Bert, Odysseus, Bohne, Greysky, the Ancient One, Luigi, and the rest of
the bunch in alt.astronomy need some hope of your finally coming across.
You don't want to be called or be known as an Alien tease do you? What
can we do to make you stop aging, I know, Happy Alien Valentines day.

Ok, Earth internet station out (:~)

ponder on,
the nightbat

Hi Darla Nightbat is right I can make a great "Mexican" sweet potato
pie. I have that with a cup of tea before going to bed. The secret is my
butter crust, both top and bottom, and putting red wood saw dust in it.
Darla I want you to stay younger than me,so let me know if you want my
10 ways to make Mexican sweet potatoes. You will note they have to be
Mexican sweet potatoes. Seems they get more sun in Mexico and that
creates a stronger chemical. This is the truth, and Im dead serious
about this, I thought you might have this in a concentrated pill.
Seems we Earth aliens might not be so stupid after all Bert

In gratitude, Greysky.

Your thoughts are comforting.
Comforting indeed.

It is difficult to explain about our relationships with each other.
You lose a friend whom you have known for perhaps fifty years, and it
devastates you.
Only time and distance can ease your pain a little.

Silouen was our friend.
In the millions of your years that we have known Sil, our lives have been
saved countless times by this one.
Sil's smile can send your heart soaring from the deepest wells.
In fact, this is how I brought myself back from the dumps - by picturing
Silouen's bright and ready grin.

We are going back to look for Sil again next week, and to further study the
oval nebula.
The hole was not a black hole, by the way.
Very different in that this hole manages to move around very much like a
living thing, or as if a living thing is guiding it.
And yet similar to a black hole in that it is a tremendously powerful
gravity source.
You can be thankful that we have only come across these holes in the Perseus
arm.
We have never seen them in our Sagittarius arm, nor in your Orion spur.
This is fortunate because these holes feed on stars and nebulae.

Again, Greysky, many thanks for your easing words.

You might be interested to know, nightbat, that your words played a large
part in our decision to move up our return plans.
We will be leaving soon to continue our search for Silouen.

And in our hopes for your continued existence, and in keeping with your up
and coming St. Valentine's Day ritual, our hearts go out to all of you.

The hardest thing for you people right now is to think happy and loving
thoughts when you do not Want to.
Like when you are angry or in pain, or frustrated or in mourning.
Anger, pain, frustration, mourning - these are some of the things that age
you very Quickly.
You must Work to condition yourselves to smile Even when you do not Want to
smile.

Hi Darla Since you know about other planets in the galaxy is there one
I might fit in better? Here on Earth my old friends are dying
out,and I'm down to just one close friend and he moved away. I try to
make new friends,but they think I'm crazy. I think I'm crazy(some what)
Maybe you know of a planet that appreciates people that are a little
crazy??? Bert PS I'll give you my recipe for my Mexican sweet
potato pie as a going away present. Don't use a micro wave. Bert
