Its an orion finder scope mount, it fits the camera lens nicley and is adjustable via the 3 screw used to align the finderscope. I have to zoom X2 to get a decent field. Seems strange that i tried for month with a refractor to no avail. This is the first time i used the Europa for planetary photography and it works great. Also did a few with a 12.5mm plossyl of Orion optics breed, they arent quite so good though! Was all of that information up there last night?! If so - sorry - I jumped right to the main image and missed it. The missus has started a 3 year midwifery course at the University of Surrey. As a consequence she gets up a some unreasonable hour in the morning and, consequently, I wake up then as well. Couple this with my normally quite late nights and I'm rapidly becoming sleep deprived and making all sorts of mistakes. Perhaps I'll have to give up astronomy. That's a really nice shot for a single image. -- Pete Homepage at http://www.pbl33.co.uk CCD/digicam astronomy |
