V1.50 of LunarPhase Pro has just been released. Full details of the
software can be found at: http://www.nightskyobserver.com/LunarPhaseCD New to this version are the following: * New (first) Crescent Moon Visibility screen which shows the illumination percentage of an emerging crescent and for how long it's visible after sunset. The user can specify max. and min. moon illumination percentage to look for and a year range. * New Apogee and Perigee screen which shows max. and min. distances and their dates within a user-specified year range. * New 'Did You Know?' screen that pops up when LunarPhase Pro starts. * New 1024x768 resolution screen for the Lunar Explorer which can be turned on/off on the Lunar Explorer screen or via the Configuration screen. This mode displays larger maps. * Added a tool to the Lunar Explorer screen which allows the user to centre 3D maps on the cursor position when the right-hand mouse button is clicked. * Added a tool to the Lunar Explorer screen which allows distances to be measured on the lunar maps (or to find the size of features). * Right-clicking on a feature in one of the dropdown lists on the Lunar Explorer screen takes the user to a page on the Digital Lunar Orbiter Photographic Atlas of the Moon website for the selected feature. * Improved the quality of map printouts. * Added options to the Configuration screen to set the default resolution of the Lunar Explorer screen and to disable the 'Did You Know?' popup screen for those who don't want it. * The Moon's phase now displayed numerically in decimal format (with four decimal places). * The Lunation figure has been added to the main window display. * Added Page Up/Down handling to vertical scrollbars on various screen. Bug Fixes in this version: * Moonrise/set data on the eclipse screen is now for the date of the eclipse, not the date selected on the calendar. * Moon data was printed out twice in the Daily View printout. Sun data is now printed in place of the duplicate set of moon data. * Data in the Geocentric Max And Min pane on Libration screen has been spaced out. Under some circumstances the data in different columns would run into one another. * On the Lunar Explorer screen, clicking on identified feature data resulted in maps changing and other non-related data appearing. Now fixed. Also, the Hand Pointer no longer appears in the data window when data for an identified feature is displayed. This was confusing to users. Gary Nugent http://www.nightskyobserver.com |
