I ran across the extremely alarming statistic related to the transit
of Venus. Since I deal with statistics daily, and charts don't lie, I felt it was imperative that I share this scientific fact with you. You can then decide if you wish to risk viewing the Venus transit on June 8th. So here it is: 100% of those who viewed the last transit of Venus are dead. Now, all the research is not in yet as to the attribute that caused this overwhelming statistic, and the attributes need to be more extensively studied for assignable cause, but I felt everyone should be forewarned. Except for the old Japanese farmers in some remote village who consume SeaSilver, or Coral Calcium, or sweet potatotes or whatever it is they allegedly consume, and live to be 150. You can too, for only $59.95 (plus $19.95 shipping and handling) for a two months supply. Order now and receive the Super Prostate formula (made from sea cucumber roe) absolutely free (well, except for another $9.95 shipping and handling). |

My God ! That makes it worse, because we know that a fact is a fact, but as Mark Twain put it so well, "there are lies, damned lies, and statistics." 100% of those who viewed the last transit of Venus are dead. 100% of those who didn't even know a transit was happening are also dead! So statistically, watching Venus transits offers no greater risk than hiding in the closet until it is all over! So come out of the closet and enjoy yourself! But remember to take the proper precautions! Chris.B |

And everyone who watches the coming transit *will* die! Bill Ferris "Cosmic Voyage: The Online Resource for Amateur Astronomers" URL: http://www.cosmic-voyage.net ============= Email: Remove "ic" from .comic above to respond |

Something is killing us, that's for sure. Consider that even with health care costing more than it ever has in recorded history, the mortality rate is still 100%. Who profits from this shameful death rate? The government (keeping unpaid social security premiums), corporations (HMOs, etc.) and our heirs, who stand to inherit everything we've worked so hard to accumulate. We can't do much about the government or the corporations, but we CAN do something about our heirs. I say, it's time to start bumping THEM off before they can collect. I'm going to buy my kids telescopes and tickets to Europe. Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom! Trust no one, not even yourself! "Choose wisely" Matthew Ota ![]() Your warning really got me to thinking (a not too common event) and added to my 'worry load'........ It occurred to me that astronomical observing likewise has this same alarming result. Thank goodness it is normally a long term event. Perhaps there is some (ultimately) fatal radiation from the night sky that gradually builds up and results in death? Could it be that the heavenly bodies do not like being stared at---and have this radiation as a protective devise? I think I'll start trying to defeat this end result by wrapping my head in aluminum foil whenever I observe........ Wayne Howell Photon Phlats Observatory Port Townsend, WA |
