Default Horizon Image #2

Hi. Still trying to make a Starrynight photorealistic Horizon image from
http://www.wmich-astro.org/home_pics/tt2a.jpg (this image already has the
clouds removed).

I have a copy of photoshop elements. Using the magic wand I can create a
layer to mark the clouds area. I've saved a psd and created the starrynight
txt file. If I run starrynight and load up the psd file, I see a solid
color where the clouds in my image should be and stars where my image
horizon should be.

Question(s). Is it possible to create a horizontal image with photo
elements? If so, how? How do I build the alpha-channel as suggested in
http://www.starrynight.com/help/photorealisticHorizons/

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...Dennis

Looking at your image and comparing it to one of the originals included with
the program, there is something wrong with the transparency of your image.
I'm taking a closer look at it all and if I can get it to work on my
computer, I'll try to update you here with how I got it to work. If you
wouldn't mind, could you please send me a copy of your original panorama
image so that I can work with it from the beginning? You can send it to:

My first crude image is at www.wmich-astro.org/home_pics/tt2.jpg.
To make life easier, I made a mask called
www.wmich-astro.org/home_pics/tt2m.jpg, resulting in the image
