Default Brian's "rules of engagement"

I'm putting this here because I've gotten a number of e-mails regarding
recent threads. No, none of them have been from people who have actually
posted on SAA in the threads.

If we are in a heated dispute, I certainly will read any post of yours
that my newsreader gets. If I don't respond, that doesn't mean that I
implicitly agree with what you've said. Conversely, if you don't respond
to one of my posts, I won't assume that you implicitly agree with what
I've said.

This seems self-evident to me, but apparently, not everyone sees it that
way.

Good rules and always self evident, or should be to all. I mainly come here
to learn
even if it doesnt appear so at times. I have no particular agenda or routine
in mind
except to question what I think may be wrong or over-stated, even if I am
wrong
in doing so.
