Default NEAF in Suffern

Are any SAA regulars going to the Northeast Astronomy Forum in Suffern, NY,
this weekend? Has anyone been in the past? I was planning on going
Saturday to see what's new, do a little accessorizing...

Default NEAF in Suffern - GO!

If you've never been, It's worth going at least once.

It's too bad it's 2 days now (IMHO), but it's a great place to meet
people, see vendor's new products, maybe pick up a few bargains, hear
great speakers, attend workshops, maybe win a prize, etc., etc. ...

It's a little pricey ($15.00 for one day, $25.00 for both days), but
overall it's worthwhile. It's hard to find a more concentrated
gathering of astronomy related activities in this part of the world.

I will not be there this year, but I suggest you all wear a name badge
with SAA on it, and see what happens.

And get a much deserved ass-kicking? No thanks. g

I'll be there on Sunday, anonymously. However, my picture is on the SAA
Mugshots web page, if you are desparate enough to want to meet a shmuck like
me, or even kick my ass (I'll be unarmed, I swear).

Sounds like you should have bid on the "I will kick your Ass" Auction that
ran on Ebay a few years ago. I do not know if it was ever 'completed', but
some guy offered (at your complete expense and liability), to come to your
house and kick your ass.

Sounds like an interesting auction. I wonder what would happen in the event
the guy was unable to deliver the goods as advertised and got his own ass
kicked instead....

Just wondering...

BTW, this was recently sent to me by a friend. I know the web is
filled with all kinds of odd things, but this one may be a top ten:

John,

Top ten, indeed!

Stephen,

If I get home in time from my current travels, I'd be delighted to
kick your ass at NEAF. We can meet behind the fieldhouse on the
football field come Sunday at, say, 1PM?

Sorry to report that due to a last minute change in plans, I will not be
present at NEAF this year.

(But, not that you should fret, my wife has offered to kick my ass, and
when she's done, my 6 year old daughter will once again beat me in a battle
of wit, and not that anyone should be left out, my 4 year old son will most
certainly defeat my "Link" with his "Jiggly-Puff").
