Default SetiQueue on Linux won't connect

Hello,

I've got SetiQueue running on a Mandrake 9.0 box.
It's running fine: showing the browser interface, accepting work units from
clients,...

Just one problem: it won't connect to the Seti@home server.
There is no firewall running that I know of.
I've tested with a WinXP machine on the same subnet, and there it connects
without problem.

Does anyone have an idea? Is there some log file I can check?
