Sheer genius! ))

I expect "they" were upset at the mere idea of Schiaparelli "dumping" on them.

We should all be horrified at the mere idea of turning Mars into a latrine for the "precious" few.

The Burble makes no mention of the land and the beasts [of Mars] being for man's private consumption.

There's old, there's [only] old in them thar hills!

Perhaps they should mine for amber instead? ;o)

Thanks to Euro-socialism, Mars is in any case turning into a scrap yard.

It's actually called "trickle down."

[From the discards of the untaxed, rich and powerful]

VR can provide the Mars holidaymaker with the perfect vacation.
[Or, rather, evacuation.]
They can visit without ever leaving their bathroom [cough] behind. ;-)

There's a ways to go before that happens. Mars is big. Spacecraft are small.

(A few years ago, an ocean liner being towed to the scrap yard ended up adrift in the North Atlantic. For a few weeks no one knew where it was. Actually, no one cared. Planets are big, hardware is small.)
