Default Geminids

Just for once the sky was clear herein Norfolk for an astronomical event.
Despite the flashing Christmas lights of my neighbours across the road I
managed to see 20 Geminids and one sporadic in 30 minutes from my back
yard. Note to Americans - my back yard is a 5 x 5 metre walled patio not a
large grassed and planted area. The sky was just dark enough to see the
Milky Way vaguely. All the meteors were white as far as my ageing eyes can
detect.
I'm going back out after I've made a hot drink.

Nice.

Too much cloud cover where I am (Mid-west USA).

The second session was a bit different.
The Christmas lights went of, the Moon rose and thin cloud spoiled the
seeing. After 20 minutes with no visible meteors I decided I was just
getting cold for no reason and went to bed. Still hazy cloud in the
morning.
