Default Minus violet filters... Worth buying?

Just curious as to whether or not a minus violet
filter would be worth it. I have a Celestron Wide
View 102 "spotting scope". False color isn't much
of a problem at "low" power, but becomes quite
noticeable at 80x and above.

This filter (in my opinion) is one of the best buys in astronomy for those
viewing with an achromat. While it does not remove all the false color, it
does remove much of it. For more information, just go to google and enter
"MV Filter."

A #12 yellow filter is more effective.
Sure, everything looks yellow, but after
a while you don't notice.

I own a 6" f/8 Sky Watcher telescope and use a visual type (Sirius MV-1)
minus violet filter. It makes a world of difference, especially with
brighter objects with false color. It also makes it easier to "fine focus"
images. It is a "must have" accessory with most shorter focal length
achromatic refractors.

If your intent is for observing only, get a minus violet filter for visual
use. There are also minus violet filters for astrophotography.
