I just saw a short 30 second commercial featuring the Griffith Park
Observatory. No spoilers here but it showed the dome and telescope, but the rest was pretty much nonsensical. -------------------------------------------------------------- Matthew B. Must have been taken before the refurb was started.

When I worked at Griffith running the telescope there were movies and
commercials being shot there all the time. And I'd see it in all sorts of things, my favorite being the original Invaders from Mars. Once a documentary I was watching showed an astronomer they were interviewing walking across the roof to the dome. I said to my wife, "Hey, that's not his office. That's *my* office." :-) And one of the most common question I'd get from out of town visitors was, "Isn't this where James Dean was killed in Rebel Without a Cause?"
