I checked the web searches and they seem all in germany or france, is there
places stateside that sells them?

I bought mine, with the 1 1/4 inch adapter from
Starizona in Tucson, AZ. I've heard that Anacortes
also sells them.

Also check Pocketscope.com. You would need to buy an adapter though as
Pocketscope does not carry one.

Also, note that the Logitech Quickcam 4000 is essentially the same camera (same
sensor, same chipset). It is less expensive and more easily obtained in the
U.S., and will give you identical results.

I agree. However, remember you'll need to figure in the cost of a Mogg or
similar 1.25" adapter, Scopetronix and some of the others are offering pretty
good deals on Toucams equipped with 1.25" adapters.
