Just back from viewing auroral activity on top of Culcaigh Mountain,
County Fermanagh (Alt around 2,000 ft, 54 deg. 17 min North) Most intense aurora I've seen for many years. Sky in all directions between East, through North, to West, lit up like a flourescent tube. Beautifulpastel greens and reds, writhing curtains and flickering beams and rays of light. Brilliant display all evening from late twighlight. Still continues currently. Dom. Sorry, forgot to mention that I also saw several ( seven, I think)
meteor trails as well this evening. Sky very clear and transparent outside the area of intense aurora.
