Default Atlas launches, fails to explode

One of archive.org's videos of the day was a May 1960
newsreel of an Atlas launch which, against expectations, didn't blow
up in any kind of cinematic or highly exciting way. It just went on
out of frame and, allegedly, ultimately to the Indian Ocean, where it
was expected:
