In operation without interruption for many years. HI Mark: You know what y'all used to have that I liked? A (weekly, was it?) summary of s.a.a. What did you call it? Do you permit simultaneous posting of an ad on your site and one of the
other ones such as Astrofieds? |

I must have ended that 5 years ago! I've been writing for the San Jose Astronomical Association newsletter instead. Monthly deep sky articles: http://ephemeris.sjaa.net/ And I am always on TAC at http://www.observers.org Thanks Rod... Newspapers do not restict you, do they? Mark Wagner Current projects (updated 10/3/03) http://www.astronomy-mall.com/projects.html |

One last question. I've asked you this by e-mail but it will probably
interest the whole newsgroup. Exactly how do you define "vendor" as opposed to "private party"? I ask because I've been told conflicting things by another classified ad site about this. In my case, I'm the author of several books, which are manufactured, advertised, and sold by Cambridge University Press. I do not sell them myself, and by contract, I am not expected to spend my own money advertising them. I want to use the classified ads to sell a few pieces of my personal astronomy equipment secondhand. Am I a vendor? Michael, There is no distinction drawn at all. Astronomy-Mall's classifeds are entirely free. Vendors are welcome to post there freely, without charge. If I understand correctly, other services charge dealers or anyone suspected of being commercial. Mark Wagner Current projects (updated 10/3/03) http://www.astronomy-mall.com/projects.html |

Exactly how do you define "vendor" as opposed to "private party"? Duh... I just realized you said it's free both ways, so I don't have anything to fear if you raise my dues from $0 to $0. Thanks! |
