Renewable Energy Laboratory, outlines a 5-year government-industry action plan to install the hydrogen fuel infrastructure needed for hydrogen vehicles when they appear on the market in the next 3 to 5 years. January 2000, 15 pages. http://www.eere.energy.gov/hydrogenandfuelcells/ Hydrogen and fuel cells have the potential to solve several major challenges facing America today: dependence on petroleum imports, poor air quality, and greenhouse gas emissions. The Hydrogen, Fuel Cells & Infrastructure Technologies Program is working with partners to accelerate the development and successful market introduction of these technologies. It is responsible for coordinating the hydrogen and fuel cell R&D activities of the Offices of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy; Fossil Energy; Nuclear Energy, Science and Technology; and Science for DOE’s Hydrogen Program. -------------------------------------------------------- Hydrogen Posture Plan This plan was to be in instituted during 2003-2005. We have yet to see any progress with the implementation of this plan. Why? You guessed it: George Bush and Gulf Wars II |
