NO WONDER WE CALL IT ERECTION DAY

Candidates for high political office are close cousins to cockroaches,
swarming around our filty kitchen and promising us everything,
including a brand-new spotless kitchen sink.

The closer we get to Erection Day, they keep making promises that they
KNOW they can NEVER keep.

The only exception is the one they make to themselves, that once
elected they'll become whores of big business and corporations, but
always making sure there's a large jar of Vaseline next to their bed.

And let's not forget about that smaller jar of Vaseline hidden behind
that picture of the flag-raising at Iwo Jima on that table near the
far wall in their office.

Thank goodness It only hurts for a little while.
