Unfortunately, I missed the Alberta Star Party and with it my first
chance to meet up with some fellow hobbyists from this area. That's a
shame because I'm sure I have a lot to learn from others.

So, if there are any others in the Calgary/Southern Albertan area
reading this group who would like to meet up once in a while I'd like to
hear from you. Please email me or reply to the group so others can join
in. (Yes, the above address is valid!)

James

As I posted above, the ASP was a bust skywise...I didn't go because the
clear sky clock and transparency forecasts said no...

If you want to find others in your area, go to RASC.

I was in Calgary for the best part of a year in 2001/2 -- I thoroughly
recommend the Calgary RASC, a very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable
group of astronomers. They meet once a month (3rd Thursday) t the
Calgary Science Centre, and also hold public observing sessions there on
most Fridays.

Best,
Stephen
