Default Refractor Alignment Problem

I have a 120mm, f/8.3 refractor. I recently bought a laser collimator
and note that, with no star diagonal, the
beam hits the objective lens about 2cm off-center. Is this enough to be
concerned about, or should I just
leave it alone? The objective lens has alignment screws.

Thanks,
Dale

It might be your focuser or laser is out of whack. I don't see how the
collimation adjustment on your objective would affect the spot the light
from the laser strikes the objective. When you turn the laser in the
focuser does the spot wander?
