Default Venus?

Total astronomy moron here but saw something pretty spectacular in the
southern/southwestern sky last night. Very bright star-like object
fairly low in the sky throwing amazingly bright colors around it...
blues, reds, etc. The wife and I watched it for quite a while.
Possibly Venus and atmosphere effects?

Yup, Venus.

As with most bright stars and planets, the condition of the atmosphere
down low can make these guys sing and dance.

Nice for naked-eye viewing, very annoying if you are trying to look
through a telescope, although it will still sing and dance then, too.

Venus/Moon - to Terraform, DNA seed or Not - in spite of whatever you've been told, there's other intelligent life on Venus. Venus simply is NOT insurmountably too hot and nasty. Matt Wiser History 1 February 7th 06 06:02 AM
