Default Starchair

I recently got delivery on my Fujinon 25X150 binoculars and am considering
the Starchair 3000, but from the pictures I have seen of it, it does not
appear to be able to point from horizon to zenith with the mount they add
for the big Fuji's.
Anyone know for sure if the seat will actually move a full 90º ?

For $4,000 it ought to come with binoculars...
There is another called the couch potato telescope, not electric, but at
under $300 complete (kits are less), it will do (practically) everything.
I built one from a kit and have enjoyed it ever since.
I only know the gentleman from purchasing his product, and it is good.

I think the Fuji 150's would shrivel up that system like a cockroach in a
campfire. ;-)
I got a "sort of" answer to my " how much movement in recline" question, of
"close to 10º above the horizon, to zenith.
Delivered price with the optional mount to hold the 150's is $5300!!
(ouch!!)
I'm trying to see if Anacortes has any left (or can still get them) for the
$4k price they advertise, and I'll make up my own Fuji 150 mount.
Sure would like some first hand info from people that may have used this
chair with the big Fuji's.
Concerns are how much vibration at the eyepiece and how long to dampen out,
and is heartbeat an issue?
Anyone try a "ride" at a star party?

Just visual enjoyment of comfortable rich field viewing of the night sky
with the equivalent of 6" pupils.
The idea of slipping into a warm sleeping bag and relaxing in a system that
uses a joystick to "fly around space", has me interested.
I have an inquiry into Anacortes regarding the Starchair availability.
They list it on their web-site, and I hope to hear from them today.
In the meantime I'm using one of Universal Astronomics' Sirius Mounts with
an Antigravity Chair from Home Medics.
It fully reclines (and even has heat and various patterns of massage on 12
volts - boy howdy) but requires repositioning manually for full sky
coverage.
The Starchair with the mount for the Fuji's looks like fun!!

Pardon me for not contributing to your question, but I am interested to
hear what you will be using the 150's for? Hunting for comets or novas
or just scanning the sky?

I am sure it is a magical experience using them (assuming one has a
comfortable mount)!
