Well, you missed a good Perseid shower. Quite impressive, even from the center of light polluted cities and with a pretty good sized Moon. Here in West-Central Iowa, I stepped out on the night of the 11th, and
saw one meteor in about 15 minutes of watching. Dud city. I went out the next night though, and saw a pretty good show with about one Perseid per minute. If it hadn't been for the moon, this would have been a pretty impressive show. Marty |
