NASA repeatedly claimed a length of this spring coil (Fig. 1) fell off
from Phoenix Mars Lander. Note that the remaining spring coil in Fig. 1 does not taper at its end, while the “fallen spring coil” in the Martian soil (Fig. 2) does taper sharply at its end, its diameters reducing to 40%. It also gained cell remains in the process. Was it possible? I claimed that the “fallen spring coil” was actually the remains of a bronchi. Bronchis had cells and tapered naturally in animal lungs.
