The poor empiricists, they were the ones who promoted intelligent
design every single time a person deviated from Darwin's twist on it -

Darwin's attempt has some truth to it but in the wrong hands it became
an attempt to turn life into a branch of speculative chemistry .Within
3 replies, the 'Intelligent Design' reaction was invoked as a means to
discredit any objection and that is the way it has gone on.

No wonder the empiricists are beside themselves, all this retreating
from the aggressive anti-faith agenda of a decade ago makes a welcome
change, from the pseudo-authoritative stance to which they believed
they were entitled. The movie accounts for nothing other than a public
face to something which has been seething for a long while now.

The real battleground is not biological evolution but astronomy and
that is where all this goes next.
