Default First Beagle on the Moon

I'm late posting this, but if you read this before about
10 am Eastern Time the Peanuts This Day In History page from Japan
features the start of Snoopy's historic voyage to the Moon, beating
the Americans, the Russians, and that cat who lives next door:

http://www.snoopy.co.jp/archives/history.html

If I'm not mistaken, in a couple days they should get to his
actual landing, thereby completely upstaging Apollo 9.
