Favourite Exhibits from the Galactic Zoo (2)
NGC 3239 in Leo. This is an irregular galaxy showing signs of interaction with another galaxy indicated by the faint tidal tails. My - less impressive version - made up by median combining 15 x 120 second unfiltered images. http://www.martin-nicholson.info/gal...oo/ngc3239.htm Martin Nicholson, Daventry, England. http://www.martin-nicholson.info/1/1a.htm Visit the Astronomical Hall of Shame at http://www.geocities.com/queen5658/ |
